BE MORE CHILL

AUGUST 1-16, 2020

BE MORE CHILL is the new musical sensation that's about to invade your brain… in the best way. An unprecedented international phenomenon, this original and hilarious show exploded onto the musical theatre scene and electrified audiences during its runs off- and on Broadway. Featuring a Tony Award®-nominated score bursting with addictive earworms, BE MORE CHILL is a mind-bending hit about the competing voices in all of our heads.

It's just your atypical love story – a guy (he wants to fit in), a girl (she wants to be noticed), and the supercomputer inside the guy's head that tells him what to do (it wants to take over the world!). According to The New Yorker, "If you fed 'Dear Evan Hansen' and 'Mean Girls' to the 'Little Shop of Horrors' plant, you'd get BE MORE CHILL." In other words, it's both a relatable tale about how far we'll go for a little validation… and an otherworldly delight about a loveable geek and his very invasive (im)plant. What's not to love?

ANNIE

NOVEMBER 2-22, 2020

You've probably seen ANNIE before, but you've never seen it like this! Visionary director Giancarlo Rodaz, known for his avant-garde stagings of classics, will present the 1977 Broadway hit featuring the spunky red-headed orphan with only 8 adult actors and no child actors. Come witness the heart-warming story, featuring all the songs you know and love such as "It's a Hard Knock Life" and "Tomorrow", told in an entirely new way.

DANCE NATION by Clare Barron

JANUARY 15-31, 2021

In its South Florida debut, this hilarious and brand new play is sure to delight audiences both young and old. This story of pre-teen angst, told by a cast of adult actors is all at once affecting, high-spirited, and satirical.

Somewhere in America, an army of pre-teen competitive dancers plots to take over the world. And if their new routine is good enough, they’ll claw their way to the top at the Boogie Down Grand Prix in Tampa Bay. But in Clare Barron’s raucous pageant of ambition and ferocity, these young dancers have more than choreography on their minds, because every plié and jeté is a step toward finding themselves, and a fight to unleash their power.

THIS IS OUR YOUTH by Kenneth Lonergan

APRIL 1-18, 2021

In 1982, on Manhattan’s Upper West Side, the wealthy, articulate, pot-smoking teenagers who were small children in the '60s have emerged as young adults in a country that has just resoundingly rejected everything they were brought up to believe in. The very last wave of New York City’s '60s-style Liberalism has come of age—and there’s nowhere left to go. In meticulous, hilarious, and agonizing detail, THIS IS OUR YOUTH follows forty-eight hours of three very lost young souls in the big city at the dawn of the Reagan Era. Funny, painful, and compassionate, THIS IS OUR YOUTH is a living snapshot of the moment between adolescence and adulthood when many young people first go out into the world on their own, armed only with the ideas and techniques they developed as teenagers—ideas and techniques far more sophisticated than their parents ever realize, and far less effectual than they themselves can possibly imagine.
