5' 6", 7, 8! LAMENTATIONS OF TWO BROADWAY-BOUND SHOWGIRLS
Veteran showgirls and leading ladies Rebecca Ashton and Carolina Ordoñez sing, dance, and laugh their way through an evening of Broadway hits! Performing standards from classics of the Broadway cannon such as The Sound of Music and West Side Story, as well as numbers from contemporary successes such as Wicked and Rent, and recounting anecdotes of their misadventures in auditioning, performing, and teaching, Ashton and Ordoñez are sure to delight and entertain!
Featuring conservatory students and accompanied by Broadway Music Director Gregory Brown, the proceeds from this one-night-only performance will go towards ASC's conservatory.

REBECCA ASHTON is thrilled to be making her Area Stage performance debut with her good friend Carolina Ordoñez! She recently graduated with her BFA from the Weitzenhoffer School of Musical Theatre at the University of Oklahoma. Favorite regional roles include: My Fair Lady (Eliza Doolittle), Beauty and the Beast (Belle), The Tempest (Miranda), The Fantasticks (Luisa), Snowhite (Snowhite), and A Chorus Line (Judy). University: On the Town (Claire), Something Wicked this Way Comes--world premiere workshop production (Miss Foley), Sunday in the Park with George (Celeste 1/Elaine). Rebecca was a part of the Santa Monica Playhouse Reparatory Company in California for six years and toured with them to the UK, Japan, Ireland, and Holland. She feels incredibly privileged to have had the opportunity to work with the Royal Shakespeare Company and the Globe Theatre in London, as well as with the Model Language Studio in Tokyo. She would like to thank Josh and Hugo, and her parents, Tamarah and John.
CAROLINA ORDOÑEZ is thrilled to be making her Area Stage Company debut and to share the stage with the incredibly talented Rebecca Ashton! Carolina is a multi-disciplined theatre artist who has recently relocated to Florida from New York City. While in New York, Carolina performed original solo work throughout the city in venues such as Dixon Place, The Access Theatre, the Duplex, and the Broadway Comedy Club. Carolina was last seen as Conchita in Barry Manilow's Copacabana at TheatreZone. A Miami native, she received her BFA in Musical Theatre from New World School of the Arts and her MFA in Theatre from Sarah Lawrence College. She is a proud member of Actor’s Equity.
