ITP ACTING COACH
Area Stage Company is looking for dedicated Acting Coaches to join its Inclusion Theatre Program (ITP)!
ASC's Inclusion Theatre Project (ITP) serves actors across South Florida with developmental and intellectual disabilities who are eager to develop their talents. ITP originated from our belief that training in the performing arts teaches vital tools for life, reaching participants through multi-modal classes within the musical theatre medium and helping them on their journey as they move towards adulthood. Our coaches also travel to local schools to provide on-site training to individuals who might otherwise not have the opportunity to explore and access their natural abilities through the arts.
This is a great job for actors with flexible schedules who are looking to give back to their community. Background in Drama Therapy NOT required, just an open mind and a kind heart.
Ability to improvise and adapt based on needs of class
Ability to create lesson plans based on needs of class
Organized, detail-oriented, dependable, and punctual
Must be able to work some weekends for shows
Previous experience working with special needs a plus, but not required
