SHREK THE MUSICAL

Winner of the Lawrence Oliver, Tony, and Drama Desk awards, Shrek the Musical starts off as many fairy tales do: "Once upon a time ..." Yet this story is all but your typical fairy tale. After accepting he will live alone, apart from the "Big Bright Beautiful World" outside, Shrek's swamp is invaded by fairy tale misfits thanks to a new decree by a short-tempered lord. Shrek sets off on a quest, hoping to return to the way things were, but with a wisecracking Donkey and a feisty princess, will Shrek get what he wants? And is alone on a patch of swamp far, far away from the bright, beautiful world what he truly wants?

This professional production of Shrek the Musical has been reimagined as a seven-actor thespian troupe at a modern-day Renaissance faire portraying all roles and accompanying themselves on instruments.
